Irish Cavalry Regiments.

 

In 1914, the British Army included nine Infantry and four Cavalry Regiments from Ireland. In addition, there were two Special Reserve Cavalry Regiments, the North and South Irish Horse.

 

On the CWGC Roll of Honour database, 718 men from the four Irish Cavalry Regiments are listed.

 

A further 92 men from the two Special Reserve Cavalry Regiments were killed during the First World War.
