THE Victoria Cross.

During the First World War, the Victoria Cross (VC) was awarded to 31 men, who were serving with Irish Infantry and Cavalry Regiments, 2 men from the Tyneside Irish and 1 from the Liverpool Irish.

 

There were a total of 35 VCs awarded to men born in Ireland, 18 of whom served with Irish Regiments and details of the other 17 can be found here.
